Building healthy soil with understanding, using locally available organic matter, is essential to boosting our vegetable beds into sustainable and steady production. In order to make this happen, some community participants volunteer to help layer our compost and then ‘flipping’ it over once weekly until the pile reaches 160 degrees.
Putting healthy food on the table during tough economic times has caused folks everywhere to take a closer look at saving money and considering what they can produce for themselves.
